Before making a booking with Lower Mill please read our terms and conditions carefully:

  • All pets must arrive with a vaccination certificate which is valid for the duration of their stay.
  • All pets must be fully vaccinated (dogs must be kennel coughed also) at least 14 days prior to their stay.
  • We recommend that pets are treated with a veterinary flea and worm treatment prior to boarding.  An extra charge may be added if we have to administer flea and worm treatments whilst your pet stays with us.
  • A full days board is charged for the day of arrival and a full day is charged for the day of departure if you collect your pet in our afternoon opening hours.  This is to allow for essential cleaning and preparation of the accommodation.  For example if you drop off on Monday afternoon and collect on Tuesday morning you will be charged for 1 day.
  • In the event of owners returning to collect their pets before the end of the period for which their pets are booked in with us, the full period will be charged.
  • A non-refundable deposit will be required for all bookings which must be paid within 1 week of making the booking; your booking will only be confirmed once payment has been received.
  • If bookings are cancelled with less than 1 month’s notice a cancellation fee may be charged, unless we can fill your space with another booking.
  • Full payment is required when you collect your pet; you can pay by card, cheque or cash.
  • Male cats over the age of 6 months must be neutered.
  • Because we interact we our guests frequently whilst they are on holiday with us please do let us know if your dog has previously been aggressive towards other dogs or people.
  • The first time you bring your pet in we will require you to fill in a form detailing essential information about them.  It is very important we keep this form up to date, so if at any subsequent visits any of these details change please do let us know.
  • If your pet has visited another kennels or cattery within the last month please let us know before arriving.
  • If your cat has been sneezing prior to coming in please let us know; they may have to stay in one of our isolation chalets.  These chalets are exactly the same but they are just away from the other guests to avoid any illnesses spreading.
