Our Cattery

We know that cats love nothing more than to explore, that’s why our luxury heated chalets offer ample space for your cat to wander around during the day.  Our outside chalets have fully insulated and heated back cabins and entry is gained through a cat flap, this can be lifted for those cats who are not used to one.  The back cabin is reached via a small set of wooden steps.  We have soothing classical music playing softly in the background.

At Lower Mill our facilities have been approved by the Feline Advisory Bureau (now known as International Cat Care), which means your cat will be looked after in the best possible facilities whilst you are away.

Our friendly and dedicated staff will make sure all your cat’s needs are met whilst on their holidays at Lower Mill, including:

  • Home comforts
  • Regular diets followed
  • Medical conditions
  • Feliway
  • Catnip

We understand that leaving the familiar confines of home isn’t something any cat enjoys, which is why we use Feliway at Lower Mill.  Feliway is a replication of the pheromone that cats leave naturally when they are feeling comfortable in their environment.  We ensure that we use Feliway to help ease your cat’s transition and keep them feeling at ease and secure so they can return to you happy and feeling great!

All cats must be fully vaccinated with their annual boosters; in order for your cat to stay with us we do ask that you provide us with a current vaccination certificate signed by your vet.

Please ensure that your cat is wormed and de-flead prior to boarding with us – ask your vet for the best products to use.  Please note that an extra charge may be added if we have to administer worming and de-fleaing treatments whilst your cat stays with us.
